A Business Analyst Intern II will be responsible for supporting the company’s Carelon Digital Platforms team. During the program our Interns will receive an orientation to the company and engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns are paired with industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding within technology.
How you will make an impact:
- Analyzes business and IT needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
- Responsible for developing strategies, programs and solutions based on business priorities, consumer insights and industry trends that support digital strategy.
- Responsible for gathering and assessing market requirements through competitive intelligence and emerging trends, stakeholder and consumer feedback.
- Contribute to Strategy and Business Development Efforts
- Develop and Deliver Presentations to Key Stakeholders
- Project Management and Coordination
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2024 internship.
- Actively pursuing a degree in a healthcare domain specifically project management, data and business analytics, machine learning, data science or related fields at an accredited university during internship
- Experience in project/program management, process management, and/or process improvement
- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Students will be assigned to a specific group within the Carelon Digital Platforms organization based on skill set and need of the business. Graduate students should have experience and education in:
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner.
- Responsible for developing strategies, programs and solutions based on business priorities, consumer insights and industry trends that support digital strategic frameworks.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills.
- Working on issues pertaining to AI/Machine Learning (ML). Experience with generative AI a plus but not required.
- Experience/understanding of responsible AI, AI safety, digital safety, or security a plus but not required.
- Understanding of Natural Language Understanding (NLU)/Natural Language Processing (NLP)/Natural Language Generation (NLG) and language models.
