Reports to department Director and provides analytic support for a wide variety of data domains and business data needs. The Business Analyst II leads multiple concurrent projects, as well as provides data strategic initiatives and decisions using statistical analysis, predictive modeling and data mining. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. Collaborates with clients to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs. Will participate in management reviews, including presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Master’s degree in computer science with 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
2. Two years’ experience in analysis, interpretation, and reporting data sets
3. Python, SQL, DBMS, BI Tools required
4. SQL Server and DB creation preferred
5. Experience in application development
6. Hands-on experience in process improvement projects
7. Cross-functional team collaboration at a corporate setting
8. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Experience using varied statistical methods
10. Identifies solutions to improve data integrity and business workflows in order to improve data reporting capabilities and operational efficiencies
11. Strong written and verbal communications skills
12. Proficiency in MS Suite a plus
13. Valid driver’s license required

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $65,560.00 to $96,408.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
