TITLE:Business Analyst II
LOCATION: St. Louis, MO (Remote)
SCHEDULE: Day Shift 40 hours/ Week
PAY: $30.00 - $42.00 Hour DOE
This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.

SUMMARY: Within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, for the Executive Director, evaluates business systems and how they align with user needs. Performs tasks to achieve an understanding of business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing, documenting and managing requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares transformative strategy business cases working with university partners and senior IT staff.
- Works with IT Project Manager to plan approach to requirements elicitation and methods for requirements management and communication.
- Ensures new digital initiatives and organizational change business opportunities and objectives are clearly articulated.
- Plans modeling techniques to be used in requirements analysis (scope, process, rule, data, interface models, etc.).
- Works with IT Project Manager to plan validation of requirements in managing IT project scope, user acceptance, installation and deployment; helps determine metrics.
- Performs feasibility analysis as required for new digital initiative and organizational change projects.
- Coordinates planning activities to meet objectives and timelines of overall new digital initiative and organizational change programs or projects; works with IT Project Manager to forecast required time and resources.
- Performs requirements elicitation using techniques per plan.
- Prioritizes requirements working with university partners and creates conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
- Performs requirements management and communication; apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
- Works with IT project management to obtain requirements approvals per project plan; facilitates go/no go decisions.
- Uses requirements to drive the design or review of test cases and process change requests on programs/projects within the OCTO Executive Director's body of work.
- Provides consulting to all stakeholders regarding requirements management working with IT Project Management.
- Builds knowledge of the organization’s technology infrastructure and specific software applications to help the business address continuous improvement changes through technology.
- Will take on assignments for projects within the scope of the OCTO's Executive Director.
- Leads and coordinates activities associated with requirements management vehicles.
- Coordinates activities with other Business Analysts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or comparable discipline, or equivalent combination of experience, certification and education. Two years of relevant experience analyzing business processes and data.
- ITIL framework knowledge required.
- Agile & Waterfall experience highly requested.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
- 3-5 years of BA experience preferred.
