GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs complex (journey-level) business analysis work. Work involves gathering, designing, developing, and documenting user requirements; reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes; creating and validating user acceptance testing; performing post-implementation support of systems; and providing support for the systems development life cycle. May provide guidance to others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Work within a team to develop software applications to meet the clinical and business needs of the Center.
- Work with programs/departments to gather, analyze and document program requirements, business processes, and problems in order to automate and/or improve systems.
- Configure, modify, test and maintain existing programs/software (EHR, HRIS, Financial) utilized by the Center.
- Analyze new or existing policies and procedures to determine their effect on automated systems. Evaluate processes for efficiency and effectiveness and make recommendations for change to enhance software efficiency and/or utilization.
- Design and build forms, reports and automated system workflows within software application.
- Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
- Provide technical assistance to end users on software applications (EHR, HRIS, Financial). Work in conjunction with IT to assist end users with technical assistance on software applications.
- Identifies potential project risks and difficulties, and recommends strategies to mitigate or avoid them
- Participates in after-hours support as determined by supervisor.
- Must stay compliant with all required training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness are required for the 8-5 work day or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of program's processes.
- Professional Development - Successfully complete training required to maintain skill competency and cross training to ensure consistency across program procedures. Complete continuing education as required by professional standards and the Center.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification
- Experience in business analysis work. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

- Knowledge of community behavioral health, intellectual disabilities service and early childhood intervention service delivery systems.
- Skill in business analysis methodologies; analyzing and evaluating complex information technology applications, policies, and issues; and developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems and issues.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, including regulations, policies, and automation system documentation/specifications; to communicate in writing; to translate user/business needs into a technical style; to communicate technical instructions to system users; to analyze, evaluate, and integrate business rules into system requirements; to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions; and to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports
- Knowledge and understanding of relational databases (e.g., MS-SQL).
