Business Administration - Assistant, Associate, or Professor
Concordia University, Nebraska seeks applications for a full-time faculty position in Business Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses, especially Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting, with the potential to teach upper-level accounting courses, entrepreneurship courses, other business courses, or general education courses that best fit the skills and interest of the candidate and the needs of the Department of Business and Concordia University.
- Engage in curriculum development, course and program assessment, student advising, departmental activities, and assistance with student recruitment.
- Support the growth of the Department of Business, the College of Business and Technology, and the University, with innovative ideas, leadership, and assistance in planning and executing strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrate a willingness to enthusiastically embrace the university’s mission.
- Remain current in areas of teaching responsibilities.
- Work with colleagues from multiple departments in service to the university.
Status of appointment, academic rank, and salary will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience. Appointment will begin in July 2024. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- PhD or JD preferred. Candidates who are ABD or have earned an MBA will be considered. Preferences will be given to candidates with substantial accounting education.
- Teaching and Relationships
- Evidence of excellence in teaching, preferably at the community college or university level.
- Desire to develop professional relationships with students, where the faculty member is seen by all students as an instructor, mentor, and advisor.
- Experience
- Industry experience, preferably in accounting or a related field.
- Faith
- A candidate who is an active Christian is required. Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod membership is preferred.
