We're on the lookout for a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our team at Burma Love in Menlo Park. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the head chef to plan and create innovative dishes.
- Oversee and manage kitchen operations to ensure seamless workflow
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high-quality standards
- Maintain inventory and manage food costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role.
- In-depth knowledge of Asian culinary techniques and ingredients preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills. Experienced leadership with a BOH team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for 4+ hrs
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary excellence.
