Building Service Worker

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford is seeking a full-time Building Service Worker. This position is responsible to perform all necessary custodial work to keep floors, walls, windows, furniture, and restrooms in a clean, sanitary condition and to maintain housekeeping standards.

Hours: Monday - Friday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Position Duties:

• Clean and maintain all floor surfaces consisting of carpet and various hard surface floors.
• Clean and maintain bathrooms.
• Pick up trash including hazardous materials.
• Clean interior finishes and building components, i.e., walls, windows, blinds, light fixtures, etc.
• Clean exterior entryways.
• Clean furniture.
• Provide services to facility users, including moving furniture and setting up for meetings and special events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Preferred Qualification: 1-3 years janitorial experience including hard floor care

Salary: starts at $13.51/hr based on experience.
