Job Summary
To maintain the Health Center facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition; to provide a suitable environment for the care of patients.Duties & Responsibilities
- 1. Clean carpeted floors, vacuum, extract and bonnet.
- 2. Clean resilient floors.
- 3. Clean and dust windows, blinds, furniture, equipment and other surfaces.
- 4. Collect and dispose waste paper.
- 5. Collect contaminated waste.
- 6. Clean and service toilets and showers.
- 7. Lock and unlock doors into and within the facility.
- 8. Wash interior and exterior glass and windows.
- 9. Spot clean walls, woodwork and carpet.
- 10. Wash glazed tile walls.
- 11. Change light bulbs.
- 12. Remove snow and ice from entrances.
- 13. Move furniture and incoming freight.
- 14. Pick up dirty linen, remove to Central Supply.
- 15. Participate in Quality Assurance activities as assigned
- 16. Responsible and accountable to support and ensure a culture of safety, quality and risk management including compliance and ethics.
- 17. Assume appropriate related additional duties to further the mission of the unit.

Position involves lifting and moving heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Window washing involves ascending to third story to wash windows while using a window belt up to third story windows.Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 4502 - Building Service Worker position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 3/05/2024. Minimum salary is $38,272. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
