About Us: Local property management company dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for our residents. We are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and comfort and are looking to add to our maintenance team. This will start off as a part time role and then transition to a full time position in early 2024.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our apartment buildings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to preserve the functionality and appearance of our properties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the building premises to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems as needed.
- Handle basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repair tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and address their concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities including a boiler room.
- Collaborate with property manager and outside vendors to ensure proper maintenance schedules and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or similar role in a residential or commercial setting.
- Proficiency in various maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical and general repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training is a plus.
