OVERVIEW


A Wasatch Front bank is seeking Senior Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer to manage all aspects of its BSA compliance program, in accordance with state and federal Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines and regulations.


Location: Northern Utah County, UT (100% on-site)

Reports to: SVP, Compliance and Risk Officer

Salary: Starts at: $120-150K (increased DOE) + bonus

WHAT YOU WILL DO


Oversee all aspects of the BSA and AML Compliance Programs for the bank, including the creation, implementation, and management of systems and controls. This includes:


  • Coordinating and assisting in the administration of independent, state, and federal examinations and reviews.
  • Performing regular transaction monitoring and identifying suspicious activity patterns
  • Submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as required.
  • Overseeing and performing quality control reviews and monitoring of BSA Compliance Programs.
  • Sharing and presenting complex information with employees, management, and regulators in user-friendly way.
  • Preparing and compiling regularly scheduled or on-demand reports for management and providing requested information to auditors.
  • Advising and providing guidance to the Board of Directors, stakeholders, etc.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in managing daily BSA/AML compliance requirements and filings
  • Expertise in FinTech and banking, within BSA
  • Expertise in BSA/AML regulations including, OFAC, 314(a), CIP, CDD, EDD, KYC, and KYB rules and regulations.
  • Ability to use sound judgment when making high-stakes BSA compliance decisions
  • Ability to clearly and accurately create/revise policies and procedures for new and evolving regulatory developments and concerns.
  • Ability to present complex information in a user-friendly way, to employees, the Board of Directors, and regulators.
  • ACAMS Certification (preferred, but not required).


Proven track record of successfully managing:

  • Team of employees
  • BSA/AML compliance software.
  • BSA Examination process and proactively engaging with regulators.
  • BSA/AML risks associated with fintech partners and third-party relationships.
