THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

Primary duties include, but are not limited to a variety of engineering, maintenance, and repair tasks live and post-production equipment in a studio, remote and/or field broadcast situations related to live, pre-recorded, studio and field production, and technical support of all On-Air operations and Production. There is a possibility of advancing in this position to take on additional duties.

This role requires you to be in the LA studio. This role will be covering the overnight shift (9pm-5:30am) including weekends. Days off will be Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

   Background in studio, remote, and field broadcast production equipment supporting 24/7 TV broadcast and streaming channels.
   Knowledge of broadcast equipment used in production, signal acquisition, and distribution.
   Support and maintain daily live-streaming video infrastructure.
   Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of video signal chains relative to encoding, transcoding, CDN delivery, and video players associated with authentication and entitlement systems.
   Provide basic technical and operational support to television/streaming on-air operations and production teams on evening or overnight shifts.
   Assist with troubleshooting television production and on-air issues as they arise.
   Execution of Engineering infrastructure projects such as planning document review, racking equipment, cabling, powering equipment, networking, and managing existing hardware infrastructure.
   Assist with managing existing data center infrastructure (rack layouts, power distribution, maintenance). 
   Adhere to broadcasting processes and ticketing standards to include notification, communication, and approval of intrusive activities to the broadcast network and on-air devices. 
   Adhere to Company procedures and policies and management directives.


THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Must possess basic computer and networking skills.
  • Familiar with various streaming encoders, decoders, CMS, and technologies.
  • Ability to read and understand infrastructure documentation (CAD and single-line drawings, spreadsheets, and wiring lists).
  • Basic electronics skills.
  • A service-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to advance knowledge of the business and your technical skills.
  • Participate in and comply with Company training directives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and familiarity with linear television infrastructure and streaming technologies.
  • General experience and knowledge of AWS for Media & Entertainment and OTT, certifications a plus.
  • Basic networking technologies experiences are desirable.
  • Systems administration of broadcast services and cloud environments used for media.
  • Operational knowledge of computers and networks, SDI, TCP/IP, GBit Ethernet, fiber channels, and LANs is highly desirable.
  • Any low-level coding skills are desirable.
  • AutoCAD expertise

The applicable [salary] / [hourly] range for this position is $28.85 - $43.27, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.

This role includes flexible time off (including unlimited paid time off for full-time employees) and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
