WUCF FM & TV are an NPR-affiliated public radio station and a PBS-affiliated public television station, licensed to and located at the University of Central Florida. The Opportunity:
Talent on WUCF FM require a unique love of jazz music, a voice that our audience responds with, and a number of technical skills. The individuals who fill these roles need to have a deep knowledge of the UCF jazz program, the history of jazz in Central Florida, Florida, and the country, as well have ties to the Central Florida community at large to engage with our listeners on a daily basis. As we continuously work to build a culture of belonging at WUCF, we encourage candidates from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to apply.
Responsibilities:
Content creation and on-air presentation for established jazz music, non-commercial station, which includes preparation and execution of both live and pre-recorded elements and audience interaction.
Commercial/promotional digital audio production work.
Duties include audio production operations including board operations, audio editing and more.
The selected candidate will be responsible for social media promotion for during scheduled shift.
Represents the station at community engagement opportunities.
Utilizes verbal abilities to engage with audience on the air, via the telephone, and on social media.
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
