BRISTOL POLICE DEPARTMENT

Starting $55,740

The Bristol Police Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police/Rescue Dispatcher. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be a United States citizen
• Must be at least 18 years of age on or before appointment.
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
• Must possess a high school or GED.
• Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, oral interview, drug screening, and a medical exam before appointment.
• Must be willing and available to work various shifts and hours.

SALARY:

• $51,329
• Clothing Allowance $700 yearly 
• Regular Detail Rate $56.00 p/h
• Special Detail Rate $76.00 p/h
• Longevity 4-7      years of service    3% = $1,539
  • 8-12 years of service      4% =  $2,053
  • 12-17 years of service    6% = $3,079
  • 17-22 years of service    7% = $3,593
  • 22-plus years of service 8% = $4,106
• Annual Accreditation Incentive $750
• 15 Paid Holidays Annually $2,961

Vacation Days

• 1    year of service (7 days annually)

• Medical Yearly Buy-Back Option

Single Plan $2,400         Family Plan $6,000

   (based on the current collective bargaining agreement)
