LB&B Associates Inc. is currently seeking Bridge Resource Management Course Instructors in the Norfolk, VA area.

General Qualifications for all Instructors assigned to the contract:

BRM Course/Simulator Instructors:

Full-Time Exempt position with requiring CONUS and OCONUS Travel

The Exportable Bridge Resource Management Course Instructors shall be required to teach, maintain and update the Exportable Bridge Resource Management course and the Single Hull Tanker course.

The Bridge Resource Management/Single Hull Tanker instructors shall be subject matter experts on all material and equipment taught in the Bridge Resource Management/Single Hull Tanker training course to include the MSC Exportable Bridge Resource Management Simulator System upon assignment.

The Exportable Bridge Resource Management and Single Hull Tanker Instructors home base shall be located at the MSC/MUTC/TCHR Government operated or contracted training facilities in Hampton Roads. The Exportable Bridge Resource Management Course Instructors shall be required to instruct the Exportable Bridge Resource Management and single hull tanker training courses at all MSC ports of call and onboard MSC GOGO, GOCO, and COCO ships around the world.

Minimum education/experience required. Must have comprehensive knowledge of US Navy and/or MSC operations and cultures. This comprehensive knowledge requirement may be attained through various career paths but shall include:

1. 1) US Navy Officer (0-5 and above) with Command-at-Sea, OR
2. 2) US Navy Surface Warfare Officer (0-4 and above) with Officer of the Deck qualification and experience [2 years] on a deep draft ship, including conning alongside,
3. 3) MSC or US Merchant Marine experience (Master [1 year] or Chief Mate [2 years]) including conning alongside, OR
4. 4) Other comparable upper-level experience Sailing experience on MSC or other US flagged commercial ships of comparable tonnage and routes to the ships being trained is preferred.

MSC must approve in advance any instructor recommended by the Contractor to instruct this course.

Clearance: US DoDSecret clearance required or must be able to obtain.
