Job Title: Brewery Packaging Manager and Lead Technician

Since 2011, Market Garden Brewery has brought bold, award-winning beers to the beautiful Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. Our Brewpub & Restaurant features a creative, chef-driven food menu that changes with the seasonality of organic and local ingredients. In 2016, we expanded into a 35,000 square-foot production brewery which houses our 35-barrel brewhouse. The facility is equipped with 2,200 barrels of fermentation capacity, analytical, microbiological, and sensory laboratories, a temperature-controlled barrel aging cellar, and state-of-the-art canning and kegging lines. Located behind the West Side Market, under the giant BEER! sign, here we brew our beer & cider, and offer fun beer-fueled Brewery Tours

Summary: Management of package hall, scheduled preventative maintenance work, QAQC checks, and overall equipment operations. Assist with warehousing and logistics as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

With full understanding of the weekly operation schedule provided, proceed to work with Operation Manager to create a day-to-day plan to facilitate:

• Package hall needs and schedule.
• Warehouse schedule & available times during dedicated days as well as during package hall runs.
• Weekly responsibilities and daily tasks and schedule

Interact with Operation Manager directly and other departments to report inventories, production and shipment planning; provide daily and weekly reports as needed.

Brewery Canning & Kegging/Package Hall

• package hall operations during operation days
• Lead team on PM and daily maintenance of equipment.

Explore and recommend alternative methods to improve systems

Adhere to plant policies on Safety and GMPs and maintain safety programs to minimize accidents and injuries and to ensure a safe-working environment.

Running at times equipment on kegging and canning lines including startup, shutdown, and all routine maintenance..

Maintain personal appearance, as brewery is highly visible to public and daily tours.

Maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor !

Proven experience and skills in:
-1+ year in food or beverage warehouse manufacturing ideal not required
-1+ year in packaging facility ideal, not required
-Exceptional work ethic, integrity, and punctuality
-Performing equipment inspections
-Basic maintenance skills, Production and Facilities Equipment
-Some Knowledge of HCCP, USDA regulations and Good Manufacturing (GMPs)
-Commitment to establishing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
