Position Overview

Under the direction of the Creative Services Manager, the Brand Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing vendor and inter-departmental relationships, project intake, scheduling, resource allocation, organization, communication and print buying. This person coordinates workflow with internal and external teams and agency partners, tracking assignments to meet schedules. Functional responsibilities include managing projects from intake through the design process to production, shipping and delivery. This role also focuses on managing relationships for more favorable results and encourages effective collaboration.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates projects for the creative team. This includes but is not limited to fulfillment of print, environmental and digital media for all Standard Process brands
    • Coordinates tasks to ensure projects are accomplished by deadlines
    • Maintains calendars, timelines and tasks for all projects
    • Facilitates efficient and collaborative workflow among the creative team, inter-departments and vendors
    • Serves as a point person and system administrator for the creative team’s workflow management tools
      • Manages the internal tracking system by which all projects are administered
      • Facilitates training for project management tool
    • Creates and maintains training documents, and SOPs
    • Assists in the maintenance of the file archive of literature files, production folders and vendor samples
    • Records project information in master files including stakeholders’ approvals and vendors quoting information
    • Facilitates weekly traffic meetings and keeps detailed notes
    • Coordinates print buying for all Standard Process brand deliverables
  • Manages relationships with inter-departments and vendors to help produce successful results
    • Maintains positive working relationships with vendors and inter-departments
    • Acts as liaison among vendors, inter-departments and the creative team, communicates status updates in a timely manner
    • Monitors vendor and inter-department satisfaction
    • Understands vendor and inter-department needs and assures their expectations are met

Qualifications

Education

  • BA in Graphic Design, Marketing or comparable degree required

Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of directly relatable experience

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  • Highly organized to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience of creative/design and print production processes is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Solid skills ensuring projects remain on time and on budget, and helping motivate team members
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge working with project management software
  • Some knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Resource management experience
  • Ability to facilitate between internal and external teams that naturally push against each other
