The Brand Manager plays a key role in the success of our partner brands/clients. Responsible for the ownership, coordination, and internal & external stakeholder management of a portfolio of accelerating brands, the ideal candidate should feel comfortable acting as the internally facing CEO of their assigned brand(s), facilitating parties to work efficiently, to drive marketing results. The ability to interface with and forge executive-level relationships is paramount, while also dissecting and presenting results to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall brand relationship for a book of business (2 to 4 brands) at various stages of growth (i.e. prelaunch, new-to-market, scaling, growth, exit).
- Coordinate internal marketing and operations teams, setting project plans, timelines, and goals.
- Own the P&L for their brands including investments into marketing, inventory, and overhead expenses.
- Facilitate the execution of marketing, creative, digital, and other channels necessary to drive results.
- Continue to develop a distribution strategy by exploring appropriate channel expansions for your brands both locally and globally.
- Coordinate our various teams as they relate to your clients’ services (Growth, Creative, CRO, Lifecycle, Affiliate, Amazon, Supply Chain, Data, and Technology Operations).
- Own performance reporting: monitor, analyze, and present results to external brand stakeholders, collecting feedback to relay to internal teams.
- Maintain expertise in the online landscape, new features, competitors, trends, and growth opportunities.
- Continue to drive growth for the brand by optimizing product listings, watching the competitive landscape for similar products, and pricing optimization.
- Analyze sales trends, product conversion, changes in performance, and potential opportunities.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure optimal inventory, QC, and compliance.
- Identify issues as they arise and develop plans to ensure speed and quality of resolution.
- Interface with our legal team in the event of intellectual property or other legal issues, such as product suspension or identifying an illegal seller of our products.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned to the overall success of our brands.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience in the e-commerce, consumer SaaS, DTC, or CPG space – with experience managing a portfolio of brands.
- Expert in project management.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized – you should be able to develop agendas as well as project plans and organize items from meetings into actionable tasks.
- A proven track record of growing sales and scaling a digital-first brand.
- Experience in channel expansion such as Amazon, retail, wholesale, and other marketplace channels is a plus.
- Knowledge of the ever-changing online marketing channels such as Meta, TikTok, Affiliate, Display, Programmatic, Amazon PPC, etc.
- Experience as a ‘P&L owner’ where you have been responsible for budgets, driving revenue and bottom-line growth. You understand how to use data to drive decision-making.
- Experience streamlining business processes and communication amongst teams to maximize efficiency.
- You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and have the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment that is rapidly changing.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging content, develop creative ideas, and think outside the box.
- Experience using tools such as Asana and Notion.
