What You'll Be Doing

• Overseeing general operations of the Troy, MI branch.
• Building strong business relationships with customers to maintain open communication and quickly resolve problems.
• Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures including safety (HACCP, OSHA), personnel, security, pest control, and shrink control.
• Reviewing financial and operational reports and acting based on report results.
• Managing all warehouse operations including safety, sanitation, shelf labels, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, order pulling, shipping, and in-store customer service.
• Setting the service standards and operational mission of the branch, and ensuring they are communicated effectively to employees.
• Maximizing sales opportunities by ensuring high customer service levels and proper workforce scheduling while staying within budgetary guidelines.
• Managing selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all management-level personnel.
• Supervising and managing assistant Branch Managers and department managers.
• Coaching managers on employee relations issues such as new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action including termination.
• Maintaining communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
• Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box or mass merchandising environment.
• Experience in P&L, Inventory control, merchandising, hiring / training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security / loss prevention mandatory.
• Ability to run a high-volume warehouse operation.
• Excellent communication, organizational and people management / training skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Familiarity with establishing and enforcing company policies and procedures, including safety (HACCP, OSHA) personnel, security, pest control and shrink control.
• Proficiency in reviewing financial and operational reports and making necessary actions based on report results.
• Experience in managing selection, annual performance appraisals and professional development of all Management level personnel.
• Track record of supervision and management, including assistant Branch Managers & department managers.
• Comfortable completing and processing necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
