The Neon Museum is seeking a Box Office Ticket Agent to perform all ticketing functions and delight our guests.
Summary Of Position
Serves as initial guest contact at Visitors Center, assisting them with admission, reservations, ticketing changes, special needs, memberships, and other attendance-related needs and requests. Initiates, processes and completes ticketing transactions for guests and visitors in a professional, upbeat, positive and courteous manner. Heavy utilization of Tessitura ticketing software. Accurately conveys mission and information related to the Museum, including times, dates, programs, schedules, availability and prices.
Responsibilities
- Perform as greeter and initial contact for guests, assisting them in a professional manner with admission, reservations, ticketing changes, special needs, memberships, and other attendance-related needs and requests.
- Consistently reflect a courteous, upbeat and positive attitude toward guests, exemplifying, promoting and advancing a culture of outstanding customer engagement and service.
- Develop knowledge of and proficiency with usage, protocol and policies of Tessitura software and consistently apply to daily work activities.
- Follow approved procedures and take necessary steps to ensure guests an optimal purchasing process and Museum experience.
- Maintain and display a working knowledge of Museum programs and activities.
- Resolve mistakes, errors, problems and issues related to bookings or reservations.
- Consistently present benefits of Museum memberships to guests, recognizing and responding to opportunities to suggest, sell and upsell memberships.
- Act as liaison on behalf of the guest as necessary to expedite requests.
- Accurately enter data into ticketing system.
- Provide management with ongoing feedback for improvement in the guest experience.
- Help keep the front desk and reception area neat, tidy, clean and safe, reporting repair, safety and maintenance needs as they arise.
- Assist colleagues and other departments with guest-related needs.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Professional Experience
- Requires experience in sale or processing of ticketing and transactions.
- Requires experience working directly with guests in a museum, attraction, or special events setting.
- Requires experience in learning or using sophisticated software.
- Requires experience working successfully in a team environment.
Desired Skill Set
- Requires high school diploma or equivalency.
- Requires customer service experience.
- Requires data entry experience.
- Requires ability to develop functional skills in use of Tessitura software.
- Requires the temperament to work in fast-paced work environment under frequently changing conditions.
- Requires ability to type at least 25 wpm.
- Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Requires ability to articulate mission in a concise and compelling manner.
- Requires ability to consistently communicate warmly, effectively and in a professional manner with a diverse array of customers, vendors, partners and colleagues.
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office suite and other software as directed.
- Requires ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Requires ability to remain productive despite frequent interruptions.
- Requires ability to work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and outdoors in seasonal desert temperatures.
- Requires ability to work any day or shift.
- Requires regular and consistent attendance.

Hourly $15 per hour
