OnBudget, a leading Residential Construction Bookkeeping Service based in Maryland, is seeking a highly detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. This remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to our clients' success from the comfort of your own workspace. Only applicants with experience in general contracting job cost accounting will be considered.
Responsibilities:
1. Job Cost Accounting: Utilize your strong working knowledge of job cost accounting to manage financial transactions for residential construction projects.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and ensure timely collections. Efficiently manage payables.
3. Budget Oversight: Assist in developing and managing project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
4. Remote Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the OnBudget team and clients through remote communication tools.
5. Financial Reporting: Generate accurate and insightful financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
6. Payroll Processing: Handle payroll activities with precision, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
7. Compliance: Stay informed about tax regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Proven Bookkeeping experience with general contracting job cost accounting principles and practices.
2. Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.) and MS Excel.
3. Highly detail-oriented and organized.
4. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
