The producer reports directly to the executive producer and is responsible for scheduling guests on our national television shows while handling a portion of the business aspect of a production.

Job Tasks

  1. Qualifies and schedules guests for the show.
  2. Promotes the company's television shows.
  3. Possess a "can-do" attitude and is self-driven to accomplish targeted goals.
  4. Demonstrates the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with business leaders, executives, celebrities, and other professionals.
  5. Research appropriate featured guests for shows through press releases and groundbreaking stories from newspapers, magazines, podcasts, TV news, and online.
  6. Secures featured guests for national television shows. A minimum of two per month is required.
  7. Meets the requirement of 50 new story ideas/potential guests per week, due every week on Monday.
  8. Seeks interesting stories that meet the needs of our viewing audiences.
  9. Daily inputs featuring guests and contacts into the company CRM.
  10. Always conduct themselves in a professional manner in the office or on location with management, guests, and others while presenting Star Entertainment, its products, and services in the highest regard.

Educational and training requirements

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, film, production, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior business-to-business marketing experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be highly organized and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be creative, hardworking, and entrepreneurial-minded.
  • Highly motivated and able to withstand pressure, as the job can be challenging.
  • Must be able to travel locally and nationally.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Aptitude for learning new software and systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of CRM is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • May be required to stay late or come in early from a normal work schedule.
  • Work under the minimum amount of supervision.
  • May be required to work on several tasks at the same time.
  • It may involve intense and stressful conditions, such as working directly with clients or meeting deadlines.
