Boba Barista

TeaFé is a small business driven to become the best café in State College and plans to expand with multiple locations. The company is young at heart and always looking for opportunities to grow.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Boba Barista to join our team. As a Boba Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting delicious coffee, milk teas, and refreshers.

Duties:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos

- Prepare and serve a variety of other drinks such as milk teas, refreshers, signature drinks, etc

- Prepare and serve dessert food items such as taiyakis, beignets, mochi donuts, etc

- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences

- Operate cash registers and handle customer payments

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boba bar area

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Stock and replenish supplies as needed

- Assist with food preparation and handling, including batter and dough mixing

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred

- Comfortable being flexible and quickly completing customer orders is advantageous

- Knowledge of mixing drinks and handling food/drinks is a plus

- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is beneficial

- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices

- Basic retail math skills for cash handling and inventory management

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong sales skills to promote additional products or specials

- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating change
