Boat Rental Manager

Seward AK Boat Rental is offering an exciting work opportunity in an incredible setting for a motivated, adventurous individual. This job is a fast paced customer oriented position so looking for individuals that are comfortable speaking with clients, can self manage and problem solve. Our company rents out high end power boats to wildlife watching enthusiasts and fisherman seeking a DIY experience. Hours start very early in the mornings, but once boats are checked out, the day is open until craft start arriving back in the harbor around 6pm. Then employees will be inspecting boats, cleaning and organizing tackle and getting everything ready for the next days customers. Job duties will include but are not limited to;

-giving a safety and craft operation briefing to customers in the morning

-running credit cards

-helping renters fill out waivers before checkout

-explaining fishing techniques and gear operation

-maintenance, organization and acquisition of tackle

-engine maintenance (checking oil every morning ect) and changing oil.

-boat check in, cleaning and vessel inspection at the end of a rental period

Candidates for this job must be very dependable, timely, able to communicate well with customers, maintain a presentable appearance and be very organized. Employees will be driving boats to and from the fuel dock in a busy harbor to top off gas tanks in varying weather conditions, so small boat operation experience is a big bonus. Some fishing experience would be great as well. Since hours start very early in the morning being dependable and timely is paramount! Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
