Form of workUnder minimal supervision, performs repairs and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of basic medical equipment. Mentors BMET-1 team members. May participate in committees or projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- A.S. Degree in a technical discipline (electronics, etc.) REQUIRED.
- A.S. Degree in Biomedical Technology (or military equivalent training) HIGHLY PREFERRED.
- Valid driver's license required. May be required to drive between Inspira locations.
- 6 to 15 years of experience as a hospital based BMET.
- The BMET-2 will have significant OEM or 3rd party training on a wide variety of mid-range to complex clinical equipment/systems. Expertise may include anesthesia, ventilators, perfusion, or sterilization.
Certification/ Licensure:
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) required.
