Job Title: Biochemist II
Pay Rate: $40 to $44/Hr.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Newark, DE

Shift timing - 1st Shift - 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern time

This position is for the Healthcare Diagnostics division.

Position Description:

• As a method support chemist in the clinical chemistry environment, you will provide Reagent chemistry support for Automated Clinical Analyzers
• Provides guidance to technicians and leads troubleshooting during the production of commercial products
• Understands and can use statistical analysis tools.
• Can develop and author technical protocols and reports.
• Can work in a regulated environment e.g. ISO or FDA regulated industry.

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, or related disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of successful experience in a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred and may be substituted for experience.
• Hazardous materials
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical knowledge
• Working knowledge of calibrators is essential to this job role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work as a project leader as well as independently.
• A team player with a demonstrated ability to switch priorities to meet business needs
• Must be hands-on, and willing to perform laboratory experiments to execute plans

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with troubleshooting experimental results and data analysis
• Automated Clinical or Chemical Analyzers.
• Reagent, Calibrators, and Standards Manufacturing Processes.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
