We seek a detail-oriented and technically skilled Bindery Operators to join our print and mailing company team. The Binder Operator will be responsible for running and maintaining machines that bind printed pages to produce books, magazines, catalogs, and other publications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of print production processes, as well as excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with the print and mailing industry is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret job tickets, work requests, and select appropriate binding and distribution techniques according to job specifications and equipment.
Set up, adjust, and operate various bindery and distribution equipment (e.g., paper cutters and trimmers, folders, creasers, collators, laminators, stitchers, drills, paper-tape banders, document stringers, etc.) for completion of work requests.
Operate advanced and complex binding lines, including perfect binders and multiple-station stitcher.
Ensure proper functioning of equipment. Perform basic equipment maintenance, minor repairs and report major equipment malfunctions and need for service.
Maintain a neat and clean work area, ensuring that standard safety regulations are met.
Guide less-experienced staff on specific techniques and equipment pieces, ensuring work procedures are followed and appropriate quality is delivered on time.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in print production Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems with machinery. Ability to work with stamping, trimming, pressing, and binding machines a plus. Excellent communication skills. Ability to follow instructions. Excellent time management skills. Excellent organizational skills and must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

1st Shift 7am - 3pm
2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm
