Bindery General Labor / Job Description
Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the set-up, production, and post-production processes as assigned by the Operator, Bindery Manager, Supervisor, or other Senior LBM official.
Essential Tasks:
· Assist the operator to insure that the various auxiliary items and raw materials being used, including paper stock, foil, capping material, industrial adhesives, plates or dies, inks, and other job related materials coincide with the specifications for each particular job or run.
· Compare completed units during production runs with various supplied samples and notify the appropriate manager, supervisor or operator of any quality deficiencies.
· Work flexible hours as needed.
· Comply with all company rules and procedures.
· Feed raw material into machine which may include paper stock, printed signatures, foil, capping material, industrial adhesives, and other job related materials into the proper machine hoppers or positions.
· Pile down finished product which may include books, cases, book blocks, signatures and other job related materials and apply labels when applicable.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Bindery Manager, Supervisors or Senior LBM Official.
