Summary: Enru Logistics and Postal Optimization is looking for a Bindery Operator 2. This role is located on-site in Bolingbrook, IL, USA. Set up, adjust and maintain production of several auxiliary binding machines that will be electro-mechanically combined with other equipment to produce printed sheets into catalogs, manuals, directories and/or magazines (i.e., inkjet printers, polybag wrappers, label heads, hot glue, etc.).
Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust and maintain production of several auxiliary binding machines that will be electro-mechanically combined with other equipment to produce printed sheets into catalogs, manuals, directories and/or magazines (i.e., inkjet printers, polybag wrappers, label heads, hot glue, etc.).
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Make needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple workstations on a single machine.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Skilled in operating complicated bindery equipment such as folders, stitchers, cranes/hoists, binding/gluing machines, etc.
• General knowledge of setup/adjustment procedures, capabilities and limitations of equipment in order to perform the full range of standard and specialized binding, folding, collating, and cutting of printed materials.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Familiarity with basic mathematics (i.e., decimals, metric units) to understand dimensional requirements contained in job orders and to make more complicated adjustments.
• Ability to use the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the bindery machines.
• Ability to read, understand and follow finishing and mailing guidelines for job orders.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills.
• Requires ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
