Our Design Studio team in our Chicago office is seeking a BIM Internfor the Summer. This role will support the engineering of systems for a variety of projects while working closely with clients, client reps, architects, and MEP engineers in creating designs for all kind of spaces.

Position Overview
The BIM department performs a critical role in the MEP Design Studio by way of setting up and maintaining projects for the Design Staff to work within. After training, a BIM Intern is expected to perform all the typical duties of a BIM coordinator. The ongoing pursuit of knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a high level of excellence will be fostered with this position.
Essential Job Functions
- Technical
- Knowledgeable with industry design software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD).
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Position Expectations
- Assist in setup of BIM models for use by Design department.
- Represent BIM Department internally and externally.
- Prioritize work effectively.
- Engages BIM Coordinator when required.
- Assist in developing written BIM tutorials and guidelines.
- Professional Development
- Open to learning new processes and standards.
- Seeks out new information to better execute work from external sources.
- Continues to receive mentorship and guidance from Senior BIM Coord.

Requirements
- Minimum Education: Two years of Coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Architectural program.
