JOB PURPOSE
Accountable for the creation of the bill of lading and manifest for domestic and export product loads. Prepares all documentation for shipments within the United States and all export shipments. Communicates and
Collaborates with sales department regarding all shipments. Position requires a high level of organization, detail and follow up to ensure accuracy working in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to follow all established systems and processes for the department
Tallies pick reports, count sheets and counts labels for each load
Create BOL & Manifest for shipments timely to meet delivery deadlines
Prepares export documents
Collaborates and communicates with plant management and corporate sales team
Maintains organization/filing of records for all shipments
Responsible for collect on delivery orders, calculating final price
Maintains a professional relationship with all company employees, sales force & government
Applying for and organizing export documents for the next day’s work.
Occasionally handle the billing of outbounds for outside warehouses
Gathers data and maintains Excel spreadsheets for all countries of export pertaining to our export/shipping schedule
Responsible for training new employees on the procedures of the billing process

REQUIREMENTS

Accounting experience desirable, including billing/invoicing.
Knowledge of Excel files, and ability to manipulate existing and build new worksheets with simple formulas.
Ability to adapt to a fast paced work environment and prioritize tasks
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Must pass accounting test, apply general mathematical concepts to various business situations.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished orally and/or written.
Work in an unsupervised work environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to walk short distances when needed. No lifting is required, others in the area can help when needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office setting located in the Shipping area of the plant. Normal noise levels.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
