Brief Bio of Portable Health Solutions

Who are we? PHS is a portable diagnostic imaging company (Est. 1993) that has grown into the largest portable imaging provider in the state. It’s a very competitive environment that requires a team approach. We do not see patients at a clinic or in a medical office, because we go to them.

Responsibilities of Medical Coding and Billing Specialist

As you can tell, our main focus is on traits. That said, this position will have a foundation in Medical Coding and running eligibility. You will also assist dispatch in coordinating care, which can include calls with patients and client nurses, answering phones, etc. Other responsibilities and tasks will be added as we proceed past those foundational tasks.

Experience of Medical Coding and Billing Specialist

Experience with coding is nice, as is CPC certification, but we also recognize that we are a little different from, say, major systems that have you do one or two specific tasks and that’s it. This position carries much more breadth and learning orientation, hence why we focus more on tasks. Experience with Excel is also great, though there is obviously more in-depth training if necessary. Bilingual is also nice (but not required).

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
