The Global Financial Services Cash Management Solutions team is responsible for providing Billing and Collections (B&C) services to various Lockheed Martin business area/unit partners.
This Entry Level position is primarily responsible for providing successful billing support for the Lockheed Martin RMS groups with additional support in other areas as needed. Position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
  • Accurate and timely internal and external customer billing
support for assigned contracts
  • Completion of invoice and account reconciliations as
required
  • Independently and identify billing opportunities
  • Create, review and approve invoices (including self audit
checklists)
  • Create accounting documents and appropriately transmit
invoices
  • Assist with collection and cash application activities as
needed
  • Review system enhancements and make
recommendations
Additional responsibilities and special projects will be
assigned as needed to support the organization.
This is a fast paced, challenging position where the
candidate must be a high performer and quick learner. The candidate must be able and willing to support and meet tight deadlines on a continuous basis while staying focused on internal (billing team) and external (Business area/site, FAR, etc.) policies and procedures. Work is cyclical and follows a billing schedule, but also has a dynamic component that requires analytical, customer service, and strong organizational skills. An ability to work
effectively both independently and in a supportive, diverse
team environment is expected. The employee will be
expected to master various systems and processes while
providing excellent customer service and maintaining
frequent contact with business partners. The candidate will also be expected to maintain required financial controls and to support audits as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree
  • Effective analytical skills demonstrated through related
experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective Microsoft Office skills including Excel
  • Experience / knowledge of accounting entries and related impacts

Standard Job Description :
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, process financial transactions, analyze cost and prepare financial reports. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, income, cash, accounts payable, accounts receivables, billing, fixed assets, liabilities. Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, perform reconciliations and review and verify accuracy. Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting and financial information systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures, regulatory compliance and government regulations and reporting. May be required to interface with various government agencies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
