Teller Supervisor and/or Lead Teller
Basic Function:
Performs all basic teller duties under close supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform teller transactions and cash handling with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Make wise decisions based upon adequate knowledge of credit union policies and procedures.
- Responsible for balancing drawer daily and securing negotiables always.
- Willingness to cross-sell products and/or services to meet member needs.
- Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services.
- Alert branch management or Risk Management of any suspicious activity regarding transactions including forgery, theft, fraud, kiting, etc.
- Complete Currency Transaction Report's (CTR) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) and other regulatory compliance documentation as required.
- Ensures that work area and equipment is clean, secure, and well maintained in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Cross train to learn other teller functions.
- Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6-month experience in cash handling and/or customer service experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment
- Friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills.
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Interpersonal skills that enable working independently or as part of a team.
- While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include ability to lift heavy bags of coin, to stand on feet for long periods of time and to operate standard teller equipment.
