Job Summary: We are a small, family-owned consulting company in the medical-legal space seeking a key, long-term member of our team. The Care Navigation Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting our firm's clients. They are responsible for conducting comprehensive interviews with clients, gathering details on their medical histories, providing education on diagnoses and medical recommendations, discussing treatment options and treatment progress, and helping clients maintain motivation despite a difficult road to recovery. Additionally, the Intake Coordinator will oversee a small team of intake specialists and ensure ongoing quality assessment and training.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather medical history, symptoms, and injuries to gain a comprehensive understanding of their case.
2. Assist clients in understanding their diagnoses, medical recommendations, and potential treatment options.
3. Offer support and motivation to clients throughout the challenging and lengthy claims process.
4. Collaborate with clients and occasionally their medical providers to ensure appropriate care and treatment.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
6. Manage a team of intake specialists, providing ongoing guidance and supervision.
7. Conduct quality assessments to ensure adherence to company standards and identify areas for improvement.
8. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of intake specialists.
9. Stay updated on medical and legal developments related to trauma care, compensation settlements, and related areas [training provided].
Requirements:
1. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, verbal and written, for effective communication with clients.
2. Possession of a healthcare degree in nursing, physical therapy, or mental health.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients and team members.
4. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, diagnoses, and treatment options.
5. Ability to provide empathetic support to clients and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple client cases simultaneously.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional client service.
8. Prior experience in medical intake coordination or a similar role is preferred.
9. Proficiency in using relevant software applications and electronic medical records systems.
10. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Note: This is a contract position which will offer full-time hours following the training period. Compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications.
