Job Overview
Outbound Sales Representatives are primarily responsible for the activation of rental units, acquisition of new customers, and customer service of current accounts. A successful Outbound Sales Representative has excellent customer service, a positive attitude, high-energy sales approach, and persistent follow-up skills. Outbound Sales Representatives take the lead on new revenue generation, customer growth, inventory merchandising, along with store marketing and promotions.
A Typical Day
Outbound Sales Representatives will usually start their day by making sure the show floor is presentable and well-merchandised. This can include displaying new merchandise, cleaning product & facilities, and creating price tags.
The majority of a Outbound Sales Representative's time will be spent in lead response and generation. Web leads come in throughout the day and require an immediate response with a text, call, or email to have the highest close rate. Outbound calls are made to former and current customers to notify them about current specials. An Outbound Sales Representative will also service customers that come into the store to make a payment or open a new account.
All call lists are warm leads or better, there is no cold calling. Any prospect will have submitted an inquiry online or done business with Happy's in the past.
Outbound Sales Representatives will excel if they are also comfortable on camera. Posting videos on social media showcasing our product, people, and specials puts our service in front of the customer without them ever entering our store.
Why It Matters
Outbound Sales Representatives lead the way on making sure our stores get the word out that Happy’s is the best place to rent! Responding quickly to an online lead can be the difference in someone opening an account with us, or going to a competitor. Our customers hear “no” at a lot of places, so our Outbound Sales Representatives must make opening an account quick and easy.
The Requirements
Available – able to work the schedule hours. The schedule is usually the same every week, at 40 hours. Ex. Mon 9am-7pm, Tues 10am-7pm, Wed OFF, Thurs 10am-7pm, Fri 10am-8pm, Sat 10am-5pm, Sun OFF
Dependable – show up on time and work the entire shift.
Professional – behaving appropriately when at work.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
A valid drivers’ license.
