Inland Psychiatric Medical Group Inc. is a medium business in Lancaster, CA. We are data-driven, fast-paced and professional. We are looking for a responsible bilingual certified Medical Assistant to join out team. The ideal candidate for this position has a minimum of one year experience servicing patients and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients, visitors, and staff with a smile.
- Answer phones within timely manner and route calls appropriately, take messages
- Schedule appointments and obtain necessary client information, including client referrals
- Daily communication with licensed providers
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect co-payments, & data entry, check in/check out clients
- Completion of medication prior authorizations
- Check CURES for licensed providers, complete medication prior authorizations
- Administer injections, check lab results
- Administer TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and Spravato treatment: Monitor for adverse effects and notify the Psychiatrist or Provider immediately. Be prepared to assist in the management of adverse effects including seizures.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certificate required.
Bilingual in Spanish language is required.
Position Schedule
Candidate is aware, schedule for position will vary and must be available to work Monday-Friday between 7:30am-6:00pm. A set schedule will be provided, although can change at any time with advance notice to candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
