The Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our Human Resources functions across two of our steel fabrication facilities. This position is responsible for fostering a positive working environment, providing guidance to employees, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. The role involves regular travel between Libertyville, IL and Aurora, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations, including conflict resolution, addressing grievances, and supporting employee well-being.
Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, conduct interviews, and facilitate the onboarding process.
Compliance: Ensure that HR policies and practices adhere to local and federal employment laws and regulations.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and support career development initiatives for employees.
Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback.
HR Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Employee Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Travel: Regularly travel between Libertyville, IL & Aurora, IL to provide in-person HR support and maintain consistent HR practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification is a plus.
- 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR with a working knowledge of the full talent management platform.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Experience with Union and Manufacturing environments is a must.
- Proven experience in a Human Resources role, including employee relations, recruitment, and HR policy administration.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with employees, management, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel on a regular basis.
