Bilingual Construction Manager - Osp And Fiber Experience Required

The Construction Manager shapes the way that construction projects are completed. By managing multiple teams and deadlines, this position ensures the clients are satisfied and projects stay on track. This position is required to be in-market which requires you to flex between being in the field and in-office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed within budget, on schedule, and compliant with all permitting requirements and according to the design and scope.
• Interface with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to assure customer satisfaction.
• Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all operations’ employees on assigned projects.
• Confer with project personnel to update project schedules every week.
• Keep direct contact with projects in progress by visiting project sites.
• Assist in disputes on all projects, negotiating as required to resolve construction problems.
• Oversee all bid projects, including PL responsibility and management of fleet assets dedicated to bid projects.
• Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret policies as required.
• Cultivate and continuously seek to enhance an in-depth understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
• Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
• Examine estimates of material, equipment, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
• Prepare project reports for management, client, or others, including dollar estimates to complete and variance analysis for significant items.
• Directly supervise 4 to 8 Construction Managers, Construction Supervisors and subcontractor teams.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities such as training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints or resolving problems according to company policies.
• Extensive travel expected in this role both local and throughout designated region.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required;
• 10+ years of construction experience or equivalent work Experience Required.
• 5+ years of experience managing individuals and teams preferred.
