We are seeking a Bid Manager for Sodexo Live!

 

 

This is a remote position with ideal candidate residing on the East Coast in close proximity to an airport hub.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a well-organized Bid Manager to join a collaborative, dynamic and diverse team within the sports, hospitality and entertainment industry. This position reports to the Director of Growth Delivery, Global Airport Lounges, Sodexo Live! and will assist in providing cross-functional project management support to the Sodexo Live! Lounge growth team. The purpose of this team is to accelerate the growth and retention by focusing on sales proposal support, growth enablement tools, business analysis, client engagement and industry events. This role is at the center of all business development efforts, coordinating all the components of the deliverables to ensure seamless delivery of information and responses to our external clients and prospects.

 

Our Purpose is to help deliver Sodexo Live! Airport Lounge business plan by securing our most significant global strategic opportunities.

About the Role:

  • Manages administrative, logistic, and operational tasks and requirements in pursuit of new business  and client retention.
  • Successfully pivots from project to project in support of growth strategies while aligning with high standards and deadlines.
  • Key person empowered as sales enabler internally; liaison to departments and subject matter experts.
  • As the program leadership, directs and communicates resource planning activities across specific assigned programs.
  • Serves as the lead resource across the program/project as it relates to project management, workstream leads and readiness. Providing support to ensure alignment in execution, deliverables, and work product.
  • Presents program-level updates for all projects to company leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively builds internal relationships and external resources to best support business development objectives.
  • Travel to and assist with client site visits, prospect and client presentations, and coordination efforts in executing successful sales pursuits.
  • Leads project management and manages implementation of all proposal submissions.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

 

Proposal management and support

  • Provide administrative support for preparation of sales proposals, RFPs/RFIs, and presentations.
  • Knowledge manager for proposals. Assist how Sodexo Live! Airport Lounge value proposition is used in sales presentations, directly supports preparation of pitch decks and proposals to support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Tracking best practices and performance metrics around proposals

Sales Enablement tools

  • In coordination with the Marketing team, support creation of sales tools to improve sales effectiveness and sales operations.

 

Corporate partnerships and events

  • Develop and execute events, tradeshows and other experiential activations that supports the marketing and sales strategic plans.
  • Assist in handling event on site design, show logistics, internal communications, and post-event measurement/follow-up
  • Drive lead generation and activation within professional associations and events with on-site attendance and digital engagement

Other needs

  • Assists in development and execution of sales activation plans to drive new business and client engagement
  • Assisting in sales and marketing projects as needed to support brand awareness and business development

Education/Experience:

  • College degree preferred, with work experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • 3+ years of progressive business experience including direct experience managing projects & RFP's as a core responsibility, preferably in a large, multi-site environment. Evidence of successful transformation through disciplined change management. a deep understanding of the sales process and how to drive success.
  • Demonstrated strong project management, and administration skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a comfort level speaking to or presenting to small groups and able to summarize key information into a presentation format
  • Strong working knowledge of sales and marketing tools such as CRM (Salesforce), Smartsheet, marketing automation and ways of working
  • Digital experience with an understanding of lead generation strategies a plus.
  • A passionate interest in hospitality, aviation, entertainment, sports and event business a plus.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail is a significant requirement of this position. Work samples may be requested.
  • Mandatory computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • CRM experience including Salesforce.
  • Superior communication and organization skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on navigating complex scenarios.
  • Ability to work an irregular schedule including nights and weekends. Travel often.
  • Home office.
