Bi Engineer

In this role you will:

A BI Engineer at Actabl will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the Sisense based BI platform, collecting, analyzing and presenting data for specific business needs

Typical Functions:

BI Platform SME Role

• Understand, use, and enhance Sisense architecture
• Stay current with Sisense’s latest offerings and industry trends in Analytics
• Troubleshoot Dashboard errors and Model build failures
• Assist with migration of source data to Cloud Data Warehouse (Snowflake)
• Work with the DevOps team to maintain optimal Linux Cluster health
• Setup and support of client specific BI instances (ProfitAbility)
• Other duties or functions may be assigned

Data Analyst/Engineer Role

• Understand data from all Actabl brands
• Query relational data for specific client/business needs
• Explore data to tell stories with Visuals based on client/business needs
• Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the organization
• Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions
• Drive new requirements to define KPIs, dashboards and ML scenarios that benefit internal and external clients.
• Contribute in discussions and initiatives around ML/AI applications.
• Analyzing business requirements and processes from stakeholders and recommend them for implementation
• Provide reports through office applications to improve business processes
• Create technical documentation to capture intellectual property and knowledge sharing
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions, and help convey to business
• Other duties or functions may be assigned

• Understanding and use of any BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI or Sisense (2+ years). Experience with Sisense preferred.
• Understanding and use of relational databases (2+ yrs)
• Working knowledge of SQL (2+ yrs)
• Knowledge of Cloud Data warehouses, preferably Snowflake
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools
• Statistical knowledge
• Experience working with Product Owners/Managers, Data Engineers and Implementation Teams to plan and execute projects to timely and successful completion
