Job Summary
Responsible for driving Beverage Cart on golf course and selling/serving beverages and snacks from the cart.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that alcoholic beverages are not dispersed to people under the age of 21.
- Sep up assigned Beverage Cart with appropriate number and type of beverages according to policies.
- Approaches golfers on the golf course to sell drinks, alcohol and snacks.
- Takes payment for beverages and snacks utilizing prescribed cash procedures.
- Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns.
- Maintains beverage and snack quality and service standards.
- Performs cart set up and break down procedures; contributes to overall cleanliness and organization of cart, golf course and facilities.
- Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
- Performs special projects delegated by management.
- Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department.
- Respect guest confidentiality.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provides a professional image at all times though appearance and dress.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 years’ experience, preferred.
- Food Safety Certification.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification.
- Basic reading skills and basic oral proficiency in the English language.
- Basic mathematical skills are used when completing customer payment transactions.
- Position requires full flexibility in scheduling to work AM/PM, weekends & holidays, and may be asked to work overtime in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
- Must be able to provide prompt and courteous service to restaurant/banquet guests
- Position requires a vast majority of time spent servicing the menu items, which is typically done while standing up and walking.
- Position requires a vast majority of time spent describing and servicing cocktail or menu items, which is typically done while standing up. Cleaning the restaurant and lounge is also accomplished while standing up and walking around.
- Must have good communication skills due to a significant amount of time will be describing menu or cocktail items, talking with guests or staff, and giving instructions.
- Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other employees.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized frequently and documenting a guest’s order, reading the menu, or when processing customer payments.
- Reasoning, problem solving, and organizational abilities are used often.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Physical Requirements
- Be able to walk, sit, and stand for up to 8 hours a day.
- Exposure to various types of Florida weather conditions including: sunshine, heat, and rain.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry, etc. up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, etc.
- Strong communications skills, oral and written are required. Must be able to speak and write English.
