Benefits Operations Manager

Why we will love you

• Minimum 5 years of recent benefits administration experience including Benefit Plan compliance with laws and standards
• Minimum 5 years experience leading a team
• Minimum 2 years experience in Full Cycle Project Management
• Deep knowledge of Federal, State, Local laws governing Benefit Plans (ERISA, ACA, etc), Leave of Absence administration and legal requirements for the Workers Compensation process
• In depth system knowledge including core HR platforms, case management and vendor integration set ups including awareness of internal and external business and technology trends that impact business
• Minimum of 5 years experience process documentation, reporting and auditing benefit information
• Deep knowledge about a high standard of service with the customer focus in mind
• Good knowledge of creating action plans to achieve results
• Good knowledge and understanding of shared service solution

What you'll be doing day to day

• Manages the Benefits team and the administration of all Benefit Plans to include Health and Welfare cafeteria plans, voluntary benefits offerings (post tax benefits), Disability, and Retirement ensuring consistent administration, legal compliance, SLA adherence, and quality customer service.
• Tracks KPIs for each service and manages the action plan to keep the service in line with agreed targets.
• Responsible for service-related escalations, problem solving and resolution.
• Leads the Service Operational meetings to review service results, including KPIs, service opportunities, end to end process improvements, consultation on trends and continuous improvement activities.
• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, prioritizes initiatives, provides input to Continuous Improvement Management, and implements CI action plans.
• Leads the activities related to changes to Benefit Plans, Benefit Vendor service and the yearly Open Enrollment process.
• Develops and manages competence development activities to ensure good quality of provided services and to secure operational readiness for growth.
• Challenges and motivates the team to deliver outstanding results, with attention to detail and strong customer service.
• Creates team spirit where all team members are results-oriented and focused to meet or exceed agreed targets and goals time after time.
• Works closely with succession planning and creates a talent pool that contributes to GBO growth.
