SUMMARY:
Position provides overall operational and regulatory support of the residential mortgage lending area including managers and control of activities associated with regulatory disclosure, closings, training, systems, construction lending, QC (Quality Control), HMDA and non-CRA activities related to the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and maintains oversight of department activities to provide accuracy of information, reporting, compliance and consistent flows for delivery of service.
Provides ongoing oversight of regulatory requirements to insure conformity and consistency of the individual areas.
Serves as the department liaison for review, dissemination and execution of various regulatory and non-secondary related documents and issues to the department.
Serves as a direct contact between the department and internal audit/compliance; providing consistent, clear and uniform information between departments.
Directs activities associated with ongoing staff training including corporate (BAI), industry and agency requirements. Provides direction to internal training publications and informational pieces and related Mortgage Backed Securities activities.
Acts as the department lead for projects to insure purpose, outcome and need is consistent - assigns internal project leaders as necessary and helps to orchestrate reporting of such to management.
Works with systems, technology and ancillary services developed and used for the delivery of services to internal and external customers.
Provides oversight, direction and management of Mortgage Dept QC and staff to insure proper reporting and control.
Provides input and communication to senior management as needed.
Other duties as may be assigned.

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Possess intermediate keyboard/typing skills.
