Job Description
We are a national organization with a strong HR team that has an immediate opening for a Benefits Coordinator who will focus on LOA's and other benefits related tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the administration and maintenance of our organization's various benefit programs and plans and communicating with attorneys and support staff regarding available benefits.
**This is a hybrid role, offering remote 2-3 days/week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with vendor to communicate wellness incentive requirements to employees, promote wellness challenges, and webinars;
- Handle FMLA, parental leave, short and long term disability processes and procedures for staff & attorneys;
- Provide leave of absence reports to Benefits Director and Human Resources;
- File and manage workers’ compensation claims;
- Participate in Mental Health Committee and integrate benefit resources;
- Work with DEI director on surveys and integrate benefit resources;
- Rollout annual flu shot program and pay invoices;
- Promote diabetes and hypertension management programs;
- Provide backup to Senior Benefits Coordinator;
- Scan employee documents into UKG;
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Have worked at least 3 - 5 years as a Wellness Coordinator or Leave Administrator;
- Possess knowledge of benefits administration at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or equivalent;
- Possess the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision;
- Possess interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentiality;
- Possess interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate by telephone and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact;
- Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain while producing a high volume of information while performing other essential duties;
- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position, may require irregular hours;
- Be able to use database software, spreadsheet and word processing software and equipment to complete analysis and reports.
