Benefits and Health Analyst
Newark, OH
Our client company is currently looking for a Benefits and Health Analyst to join out onsite team in Newark, Ohio. Conduct research and analysis on various employee benefit options. Evaluate the cost-effectiveness and competitiveness of existing benefits plans compared to industry benchmark. Collaborate with HR, Accounting and Senior management to design, modify, or optimize benefit plans to attract and retain talent while controlling cost. Work with employees to provide communication regarding benefits to improve benefits results and control costs.
Major Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed analysis of health and benefits data to assess program effectiveness, utilization patterns, and cost containment strategies.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with brokers, serving as a key point of contact to ensure effective communication and collaboration in delivering client solutions.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of health and benefits plans, including medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, and 401(K) plans.
- Analyzing claims data, employee feedback, and industry benchmarks to identify areas for program improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Preparing and presenting reports and insights to Management Team, highlighting key findings and making data-driven recommendations.
- Staying up-to-date with healthcare industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure that clients' programs are aligned with best practices.
- Supporting the development of benefits communication materials and strategies to educate employees and enhance their understanding of available programs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including benefits consultants and account managers, to deliver exceptional client service.
- Conducting market research and benchmarking for 401(k) plans to ensure competitiveness and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent knowledge of health and benefits regulations and industry trends.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication, presentation, and client relationship management abilities.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-focused environment.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Benefit/Health policy, Healthcare Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS) are a plus.
Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience in health and benefits analysis and consulting.
