The Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the benefits department. This position provides excellent customer service and assists with administering quality plans. The administrator continually troubleshoots and resolves issues, identifies and makes recommendations for process improvements and serves as a liaison between the company and both internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the ongoing review and management of ACA data and related tasks.
- Direct Bill Administration including enrollments and payment reconciliation.
- COBRA Administration including vendor oversight for compliance notifications, premium collection, and reinstatement of coverage.
- Retiree Benefits Administration including vendor oversight for enrollments, termination and premium collection.
- Severance Benefits Administration including benefits continuation administration and working with internal partners on notification and reporting.
- Claims Data and Tracking for health care coverage including the notification of high dollar claims, claims tracking and reporting to leadership.
- Serve as a contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators.
- Review and validate benefits related data and work with international and external stakeholders to coordinate and update the data.
- Perform ongoing review of carrier related data to ensure accuracy.
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements to reduce cost and increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
- Serve as tier-2 point of escalation for all associate benefit related issues.
- Perform scheduled internal audits on data and processes.
- Assist with annual open enrollment.
- Facilitate benefit operations, open enrollment meetings and other benefit training events.
- Assist with development of communication tools to educate and enhance understanding of the company's benefits.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefits related processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Finance, Business, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience
- CEBS designation preferred.
Work Experience Requirements:
- 3 -5 years of benefits administration experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products.
- Experience with Oracle and Benefitfocus is a plus
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective planning and time management with the ability to manage several projects.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Thorough knowledge of benefits structure and plan designs.
- Knowledge of benefits contract language.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, DOL, IRS, and Section 125.
- Excellent communications and organization skills.
