General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Analytics Programmer Analyst is an entry-level staff position accountable for implementing cost-effective solutions and participating as a technical team member. The individual will demonstrate the ability to integrate technical skills with a growing knowledge of the business to provide effective information systems solutions. The individual will be responsible for handling a variety of activities in developing Analytics solutions including sourcing data, transforming data, and presentation. The position requires frequent direct interaction with a wide and varied customer base.

Required within three years in this position:
- Ability and consistent performance in writing SQL code at competency level demonstrated by utilizing SQL code to mine data and use of designated toolset to extract and validate datasets with minimal assistance and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to gather and document business requirements from business partners as demonstrated by minimum waste due to rework and high customer satisfaction with delivered solutions
- Ability and consistent performance in use of data visualization tools the development of analytics presentation layer via reports and dashboards. This capability demonstrated by full ownership and delivery of a visualization project of medium complexity and building analytics end products for consumption by the business
OR
- Ability and consistent performance in use of ETL tool to define and extract data sets, as demonstrated by accuracy of work and minimum error and rework
Essential Duties & Functions:
- Working independently as well as in a team setting, exhibits the attention to detail and process rigor required to implement the technical solutions expected of the position.
- Gathering requirements from stakeholders and leveraging those requirements to execute build, test, and implement to meet customer goals.
- Collaborating with Architects and Developers to execute plans and fulfill analytic requirements to meet business needs.
- Executing unit test plans. Participating in the execution of integration test plans.
- Collaborating with team members to reach resolution on system issues.
- Adhering to all change control policies.
- Meets all project deadlines through collaborative work process.
- The role requires the ability to influence within peer group and throughout the customer base.
- Delivers solutions to business problems that are cost-effective and produce high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Progressive growth in productivity and delivery as capability and capacity develops. Growth expected in accurately writing SQL code, independently using visualization tools, ETL tools, and creating end user reports and dashboards.
- Receives assignments and works under close supervision of his/her immediate manager or senior-level team member.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
Additional requirements:
Type of degree: Associate Degree with 1-3 years experience or Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years experience
Area of study or major: Related degrees include Math, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field
