Position Overview
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee benefits programs for the organization to include assisting with designing, implementing, and administering various benefit plans to ensure they meet the needs of employees while remaining compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The Benefits Analyst works closely with our third-party administrator to service associates' needs.
Responsibilities Include:
Design and Implement Benefit Programs:
• Collaborate with management and the HR team to design benefits that align with the organization's objectives and budget constraints.
• Research and analyze market trends to ensure the competitiveness of benefit offerings.
• Implement new benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks.
Benefit Administration:
• Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
• Coordinate with benefits vendors, such as insurance providers and retirement plan administrators, to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related transactions.
• Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billing and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee benefits.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
• Stay informed about relevant federal, state, and local laws governing employee benefits, including ERISA, ACA, and FMLA.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements by regularly reviewing benefit plans and processes.
• Prepare and file required reports, such as Form 5500 and ACA reporting.
Employee Communication and Education:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits.
• Develop and distribute communication materials to educate employees about available benefits and enrollment procedures.
• Conduct training sessions or workshops to help employees understand their benefits options and make informed decisions.
Benefit Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze benefit utilization and costs to identify opportunities for improvement or cost savings.
• Generate reports and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefit programs and communicate findings to management.
Special Projects and Initiatives:
• Participate in special projects or initiatives related to employee benefits, such as open enrollment planning, vendor selection, or process improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, and legal, to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or HR or equivalent professional work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related role.
• Certification such as CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP preferred.

Compensation: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
