JOB SUMMARY:
Administerand coordinate the Employee Benefit Programs. The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, and 401(k) retirement plan, as well as assisting with other benefit programs as needed.). This position provides excellent customer service. The administrator assists in the investigation of new benefits programs, improvement of existing programs, and monitoring of benefits administration.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience required. Experience in a union environment. Manage multiple priorities, maintain compliance deadlines, be proficient in mandated benefit compliance by Federal and State regulations such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, Section 125, etc., and be proficient in Microsoft products, including Excel, HRIS database, and benefits applications. Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs and language. Ability to understand, evaluate, and make judgments on proposals (RFP's). Excellent communication and organization skills. Work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work with confidential information.
CEBS / SHRM-CP / PHR Certification a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
