We have an exciting opportunity to join our Human Resources team as a Benefits Administrator.
POSITION SUMMARY
TheBenefits Administrators handles and provides support for various Benefit employee programs within the organization. Assists with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
Responsibilities
The primary duties for the Benefits Administrator will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provides day-to-day support for employees and HR team regarding benefit processes such as enrollment, terminations, changes, beneficiary designations, and disability claims.
  • Assists with benefits overview sessions for new hires, annual enrollment, and wellness initiatives.
  • Gathers employee data, oversees the processing of monthly billings, and prepares the payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
  • Conducts audits of HRIS and Benefit Administration systems for data integrity.
  • Collaborates and maintains communication with the Accounting department regarding vendor payments and 401k funding.
  • Assists with the open enrollment process.
  • Maintains benefits materials to ensure the most current versions are provided to employees.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation and billing charges.
  • Completes other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study
  • 3+ years' experience in Benefits-focused HR role

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, disability, and leave plans.
  • Knowledge of related federal, state, and local regulations.
  • High level of process- and compliance-orientation.
  • Detail-oriented, good follow-through skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and present highly nuanced, complex information easily.
  • Skilled in knowing protocols of when to escalate matters to leadership.
  • Strong command of Excel and ability to provide data analysis.
  • Experience with Lawson preferred.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible, resilient, and agile. Capable of handling unexpected challenges.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and consultative approach.
